| |
| Swagatam! |
| |
Swagatam,
in ancient Sanskrit means a very warm welcome to you
all. Thus I, along with my government, join the fifty
million people of Gujarat in welcoming you. We are enthused
and honoured by the presence of people from the different
corners of the world. |
| |
Navratri
or the festival, of Nine Nights is special to the Gujarati
heart. People of Gujarat worship the mother Goddess
Amba, who personifies Shakti or Energy. For these nine
nights and days, we dance, we enjoy and celebrate life.
Navratri thus epitomizes Gujarat's vibrancy. |
| |
Having
distinguished people, such as yourselves, during the
"Vibrant Gujarat" function, fills our hearts
with enthusiasm and vigour. Our vibrancy thus has a
new bounce. By being with us during Navratri, I invite
you all to share our joy in this festival, share our
sense of achievement, and our ability to maintain the
momentum of economic growth. |
| |
Ladies
and Gentlemen, Gujarat is poised towards a new beginning,
and envisages partnering you in your ventures. At Vibrant
Gujarat: Global Investors' Summit, our idea is not only
to seek investments into our economy or to upgrade our
technology, but also to achieve a new course of economic
progress. |
